Step 1 finished: He’s got the papers

He’s known whats coming. That is clearly evident by the hard work he’s done over the past week to avoid any length of conversation. Practically running out of the house or just dropping the boys off.

I just handed him the envelope last night as he was rushing out the door. Just said “here” and shoved it into his hands. As the door is closing behind him I said “we can talk about this tomorrow”

Tomorrow actually being today. And for point of fact actually not one of “his” days with the boys. but he had clearly promised Halloween attendance, either walking with them or staying here to hand out candy. Don’t know which. Also, to finish carving one of pumpkins.

So, in order not to be a wicked witch, I didn’t protest. And now, he would have to do some fancy excuse making not to come here and then we can at least mumble to each other about it.

Sounds like a blast, doesn’t it?
