simple day; simply enjoyable

I had coffee with AH from my ISAIAH agitation table today. Good to get to know her better. She’s doing such important work! I am really blessed to have these people in my life who will not only share their stories with me, but listen to my story as well.

Then home for a simple lunch of garlic bread and tea. I worked on the table runner gifts. Got one almost done in about 3 hours. Not bad for making up as I went along. Took a little nap. Got DS2 from school. Took care of some emails. Made dinner (chicken asparagus risotto) which DS2 really liked (yeah!). DS1 called about 6:00 so I went to pick him up at school. They had a math meet at South HS today. I really don’t get these math meets. Maybe one day I’ll annoy him and go watch!

Fed DS1 and ate some dinner myself and then the boys and I just hung out. DS2 did homework and then played some on-line game next to me while I knit and we had the t.v. on. Very low key. DS1 took a bit of a nap because he has a cold. Then they worked on the neopets thing together.

All sorts of things we “should have” done, like decorate the tree, or clean the kitchen or do laundry. But it was so much better to hang out and have T tell me all the little things about his neopets and his loose tooth and all the things in between.

Talked a bit with JE, too. She was checking up on me because of Saturday’s party at M&N’s. I sort of invited myself to the NLC concert afterward and then didn’t sit with them. Well, I waited until about 15 minutes before it was supposed to start and they still weren’t there, so I went up and sat with A (of Z&A) and Brian, the chaplain at GA (the college) who is also teaching worship at Luther Seminary this semester. Very enjoyable evening for me and if they were put off, oh well.

We’re worried about SL and the leukemia. He’s fighting some sort of infection that is in his lungs (but not necessarily pneumonia?) and has been back in hospital since last Wednesday.
