drinks with NJ and JE
it was nice. of course JE had it set up. we approached NJ’s anger at me, but didn’t get there. some of it was discussed. she asked if i was happier now and seemed surprised when i said ‘yes.’ said that she couldn’t tell and then went off about how confusing it was to see X shoveling the driveway last night.
i’m confused about X shoveling the damn driveway too! i didn’t ask him to do it and was frankly stunned and a little angry at the fact he did. angry because he does stuff like this instead of talking to me. does stuff like this even after being separated for a year but doesn’t say why he did it. because he wants me to take him back? because he wants to say sorry? because he wants to try again? because he wants to keep working on it?
or because he can look like a martyr and a ‘good guy’ and i’ll look a bitch who makes her ex shovel her snow?
what am i supposed to do? be nasty and bicker with him every time we’re in the same room together just so people won’t be ‘confused’?
