I know she means well, but…
At DS1’s baseball game tonight. LL and I were talking. Kind of out of the blue she starts to go on about how she just wishes X and I were still together. How, when she saw us at the neighborhood carnival talking (he was giving me my child-support check) she just struck by how she wanted us to be together. She doesn’t want to judge and knows that she can’t really know how the inside of our marriage was but she wanted me to know she just wishes we were together.
I know she meant well. I think she really tries not to judge the situation.
Still felt like, since I’m the one that demanded that the situation(s) changed and since I’m the one that decided that they hadn’t changed…that it’s really my decision that we’re splitting…and therefore if only I could just change my mind we wouldn’t have to split. In other words, it still felt like placing blame or responsibility on me over X.
I really hate that.
