Got the call from SAP at 11:30 this morning! After talking with Sr.N this afternoon, I called back and formally accepted. Got good advice from KO and the acceptance on the condition that they keep my name confidential until August. Hopefully, not too many genis are out of bottles and that I can control the announcement to GC.
Now I just have to finish my CPE application…
Truthfully, I’m too full of anxiety from having to attend the 10:30 Worship Task Force meeting tonight and being submarined and scapegoated repeatedly.
And that was sitting through the meeting smiling sweetly thinking to myself: “It doesn’t matter what they do. You won’t have to do it. You’ll be gone. You’ll be free. You’ll be somewhere healthier where they not only acknowledge your gifts and call but welcome it.”
Still, BD (council pres.) got my dander up about worship being primarily outreach. And MI had a big anger chip on her shoulder as she accused me (and Worship Art & Music) of picking “funeral dirges” for hymns on memorial day. WTF????
Probably should wait until the morning when I can write from a less reactive place. Right now all I really want to do is yell.
