task force part deux
So BD (council pres) is “sick”…damn, why didn’t I think of that? oh, yeah, because I’m going to use it tomorrow.
EE and MI and ‘the other one’ don’t show up. So all we have are DV, BM, SG - members of the WAM committee, JAS, wife of the pastor and musician, PP and, of course, BP, who sits in the back row and then complains that she can’t hear what I said. Of course, everyone jumps down her when she uses that as an excuse to try to pick a fight.
We sang through the options. Voted and left. That was pretty much it. They didn’t want to know the results or hash out the decision. JAS said she is available to lead/cant into a microphone and is open to me asking some choir people to help.
One thing BP couldn’t have been too please with was when I said, “Not everyone is here, so it’s up to us to talk about this meeting in a positive way. Not fakey, but if you have concerns come to me, not to others in the group who weren’t here.”
I told PP that my biggest concern is that we’ve seem to made some go-forward decisions without the biggest complainers in attendance. Of course, he says we must go ahead, but history has shown us who is going to take the brunt of it when the complaining starts.
Oh well, for them. I’m not staying.
Except for the really drunk feeling around 4:30, I gotta love ativan.
