Libby “the adventure poodle” update
The vet called this morning. It seems the big icky oozing bump on Libby’s neck was not a mucocele (blocked salivary gland). It was indeed an infection/abcess.
The good news is that the antibiotic should knock it out and it won’t require surgery.
It is getting better (smaller) everyday. It seemed a little scabbed over this morning, so I don’t know if it will continue to drain…don’t know if it needs to. If the antibiotic is taking care of it maybe it doesn’t need to ooze?
Check in on Monday to make sure it is done. May need another round of antibiotic, or a different one, to completely clear it up.
I’ll post a picture later tonight.
