Vacation reading list
Here’s what I’m bringing to read:
Stephen King (I’m not much for his horror but The Stand, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon and Needful Things are some of my favorites.):
III in the Gunslinger/Dark Tower series (half way through…can’t not bring it!!!)
Lorna Landvik (local author. I recognize her characters as relatives and neighbors. What? No, never myself.):Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons (read the 1st 16 pages; saved the rest for vay-cay)
Nikos Kazantzakis (same guy that wrote “Last Temptation of Christ”):Saint Francis (about 1/3 of the way through.)
Marilynne Robinson:Gilead (Everybody raves about this book. I have tried starting it; haven’t gotten past the first 5 pages)
If anybody has other suggestions, nows the time to make them!
