Hooray for Plumbers!

The new toilet is in! The new toilet is in!

Plumber Man arrived on time this morning with he shirt tucked in, his fancy water suctioning thingy and a shiny new wax seal (an important part of a toilet installation.)

Within an hour and half he had the old one out and in the alley and the new one filling up. And then proceeded to bend my about conspiracy theories involving the federal reserve.

I love having a philosopher/conspiracy theorist for a plumber. It just seems so fulfilling somehow to know that not only can he make everything flush properly he can provide material too.

Anyway. It was a looong day. Again. Didn’t get home until 10 from the Worship Commission meeting. On the other hand I had remembered my knitting so I felt like I was productive as I kept my mouth shut to keep the meeting moving. (Lord in heaven, we would still be there if I had weighed in on some of those things.)

I’m going to finish my wine, contemplate returning the email from High School Flame (from the comment I left on his blog 2 weeks ago) and probably go to bed.

All the while thinking about the fact that even though I’m behind behind behind in choir planning, and behind behind behind behind in planning for Oct 8, what primarily keeps intruding into my thoughts are two things:

1) I have a BLIND date on Oct 7 with a guy I “met” on craigslist (for crying out loud!!!) We’ll call him “SymphonyDude” (we’re going to the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra concert) until a more suitable name presents itself.

and

2) I think I’d like to figure out a way to let RM (from the party on Saturday) know that he could call me and ask me out. (tips, suggestions and advice welcome here.) I have his email from an email from KO. We have a couple of mutual friends/acquaintances. I did google him and found his company website. He owns his own company which he started….And he’s an activitist.

I know. I just got done complaining about X. Why, oh why would I want to get involved with someone?

The only answer that I can give is straight-forward:

I think I’m over my depression because my libido has returned.

Amen to that sista’! Go and have a super duper time on the blind date. I love watching the symphony. I also love musicals. Mamma Mia is coming to town and I have bought tickets for 3 shows. Yes, I am infatuated. Anyway, was the plumber single?

Yeah, you have your potty back!!
