craptacular
It took 2 days, but X has finally moved (almost all) of his stuff out of the house. Almost 2 years from when I made him leave. 22 months after he moved from M&N’s couch to his parents’ basement and at least 10 monthe from when he moved into an apartment.
It took him most of the weekend. I knew it would when he said it would only take a day. And he still doesn’t have everything. There are some pictures…
And he didn’t take a bunch of stuff he was supposed to, like the book cases or the old dead-relative chairs in the living room.
It’s another of those milestones that’s not hitting me the way I expected it to. I’m not upset, I’m not emotional. No more than when the garbage and recycling is collected.
I search and search and search my heart to find some grief or anger or hurt about this. And there’s nothing. Some small sadness, but that’s all. No tears. No drama.
I think that’s a good thing, don’t you?
