Learning Curve
Monday’s CPE session has shown me (and I have confirmed this through conversations with trusted friends and my counselor) that I need to be better at being compassionate and tolerant of people who are intolerant. Especially if they are clergy or gonna-be clergy.
I have also learned that I need a lot of processing and help when it comes to protecting myself, walling off dangerous persons without walling off the entire group in a “healthy” self-protective way…hopefully without drama.
I did pretty good today.
Each day will have a new challenge. Monday I have to present a verbatim, and I will attempt to continue to be vulnerable and open so that I can benefit from the feedback and input of the group. And I will try not to take in any comments J has for me. And I will probably cry a lot Monday night.
Maybe it just comes with the territory.
