hymnals, nap, Monty Python, etc.

The session was well done, but looong. My friend ME was the primary accompanist. The whole team did a great job and I was really pleased to see that the “script” they were working from had had been carefully crafted and not just thrown together by “loving hands at home.”

That said there was one hymn we sang that was a real dog…but overall the other attendees had a positive reaction to the whole thing.

It was a great acoustic and great singing, so that made it a great 6 hours for me. I left a little early and came home and watch “Holy Grail” with DS2…and dozed through the whole thing. Hey, what can I say?

Now, I’m off to my mom’s for dinner. She has a lasagna and I’m bringing salad and bread and boys. Hopefully, I’ll get my sister to take some decent digital pictures of me so I can continue my quest of having a date on most Thursday nights and every other Saturday.

Then it’s home to write a choir letter and get some sleep before my 6 hours of work tomorrow.

I’ve decided that what with being on call 2 times this coming week (Thursday and next Sunday, the 19th) I am going to take Tuesday afternoon off again. Maybe try for another massage before the big Middle School Fall Concert on Tuesday evening.

And that also reminds me that I have a verbatim and an on-call worship plan due on Monday…not to mention 3 weeks of worship plans for the church so that the secretary can take a nice trip to San Antonio. Oh and make a copy of the anthem for the 19th for SH who is substitute choir director for me.

Not to mention about 15 loads of laundry…or at least 5.

I could use a trip to San Antonio.

Peace on your Saturday night.
