Hooray for Z & A!
Z & A actually had time for me today! Hooray, hooray, hooray.
You know, it’s all well and good to say “don’t obsess about dating” but when the dates and the family and the friends don’t have time to spend with you a girl can get a little pity party going.
Anyway. Had a delightful dinner at Z & A’s house. A is really starting to feel her way around the kitchen (they’re newlyweds…ok 2 years, but A never was a real cook before.) We had pot roast and veggies, salad and biscuits. Delicious.
We were going to go see “For Your Consideration” but none of us wanted to go to the 9:30 show and we missed the 7:00. So we hightailed it out to the multiplex and saw “Happy Feet.”
A liked it. I thought it was a little preachy…on all levels. There was the whole “diversity” message, the “environmental” message, the “fundamentalist religion” message. Not that I disagreed with any of the stances the film makers were making. On the contrary, I agree with every last one of them. I just thought it was a little heavy-handed for a kids film.
Plus, if this movie brings back disco in any shape or form, someone’s gonna have to answer to me!
