Christmas Noon 2006

I know. You wait on baited breath for these updates. Well, skip them if you want. They’re really for me anyway.

Had to get up at 8 to let the dog out. As soon as the dog came in there was a knock at the back door. It was X. “I saw Libby out, so I knew someone was up.” (Anybody else wondering how long he was out in his car watching the house?)

I only had on my flannel nightgown so excused myself to put on a robe at least. He brought in presents and stuffed stockings. I made coffee. We called the boys down. Opened presents (DS1 got a letter jacket…well a soccer scarf to go with the letter jacket when it arrives and DS2 got an iPod Nano.) Then I started breakfast. Cinnamon rolls, bacon and eggs.

The boys configured the iPod and took showers. They had their stuff together and left around 11:30. So basically 3 1/2 hours of not-as-uncomfortable-as-last-year conversation with X.

I don’t know what I did yesterday but my right shoulder/neck is so sore and tender I can hardly move it. Probably slept wrong. You tend to do that when you drink a large glass of Beaujolais Nouveau right before going to bed.

I’ve had a shower now, (finally) and I think I am going to throw things in the car and head up to the borrowed cabin. Probably no posts for a few days unless I get desperate and drive to some internet cafe.

Hopefully when I return my attitude, outlook and body will be rested and in a little better shape than they are just now.

Hope you all have a marvelous week.

Peace, joy and love to you all in overflowing abundance.
