According to my little “stats” dashboard thingy, This Journey has had it’s 2,000 visit sometime this morning. Just since January 1. The old address still hasn’t had 2,000 visits and I started tracking that back at the beginning of 2005.

Where’s my gold star?

I spent three hours this morning trying to tell myself that I could skip the gym. Three. Hours. From 5:45 until 8:45 talking to myself about whether I would take care of myself today or be a slug. Here are the reasons not to go:

It’s too cold
That’s what’s making you feel like sh*t
It won’t hurt [...]

Oh! So that’s why!

Now with  50% less sarcasm!
There was an article on the news last night about how to fight the winter doldrums. Talked about feelings of lethargy, sadness, mental slowness. Also mentioned some things I’m not experiencing like bloating and aches and pains…well, except for the usual shoulder.
It’s good to know this has no emotional basis whatsoever [...]
