Where’s my gold star?

goldĀ star

I spent three hours this morning trying to tell myself that I could skip the gym. Three. Hours. From 5:45 until 8:45 talking to myself about whether I would take care of myself today or be a slug. Here are the reasons not to go:

  • It’s too cold
  • That’s what’s making you feel like sh*t
  • It won’t hurt to skip one day
  • You don’t really have time because …(Long List Here)

It is too cold.

And it’s too cold for DS2 to walk to school. So instead of getting up and showering so that I could go straight onto the day after dropping him off at school, I got up and put on my sweats, dropped him off at school and went to the gym.

I don’t know if it made a difference. I feel a little more energized but a lot more hungry. I’m going to shower and get going here but I wanted it recorded that I went to the gym and did a full work-out when I really really didn’t feel like it.

And it didn’t kil me. Yet.

There’s a whole bunch of stars ( I wish they were gold.) Going when you don’t feel like it shows a lot of dedication. Congrats!
