Wind Chill Warnings
This is the kind of weather I grew up in. Where sometimes it was downright dangerous to go outside. It has been bitterly cold since the beginning of the week. Today the HIGH temp will be about 5 degrees and the wind chill, even in the cities, will be in the -25 to -30 range. Tomorrow will be even colder!!!
It’s the kind of weather that made sense when I read Dante’s Inferno in high school and discovered that according to that medieval author, the deepest circle of hell was not a lake of fire! It was a lake where the damned were frozen waist-deep in the ice and the bitter cold winds froze them without ending their suffering for all eternity. It made (and continues to make) perfect sense to me.
Yeah. I’m on my way to the gym. Even the Libby (the adventure Poodle) is looking at me as if to say “What kind of crazy is that????”
