Weekend choices

I know. It’s Ash Wednesday. The day when church musicians begin 40 days of drinking. I mean 40 days of practicing.

Actually, it’s 40 days of running flat out and being the poster child for crazy.

But I digress.

The boys are with their dad this weekend. I’m having YM’s boss and partner over for dinner on Sunday evening. Sort of a meet and greet since the boss doesn’t know any of her friends yet (a.k.a. me and ZH/AH and SH and his new partner B.) So I’ve got a bit of cleaning and cooking to do.

Saturday morning I’m meeting M for coffee. Yes, folks a new online date. This one from Match.com. He’s a musician and owns his own recording studio. Seems like a sharp cookie from the emails. We’ll see. It’s just a first date.

Golfpro’s band is playing twice this weekend and I can’t quite decide which night I should go. If at all. Friday is at The Uptown Bar, starting at 9:00. Saturday is at Montana Coffee House, starting at 7:00.

Parking and walking alone for the Uptown might be a little dicey. But I might be able to round up some girlfriends to go. The advantage of Montana Coffee is that it’s earlier and there would be time to stop in somewhere afterwards. Given the amount of straightening up the house needs, I don’t think I can go both nights.

Knowing as little as you do now, which would you choose?
