Tehran bombing linked to U.S. backed terrorists

Well, here we go. I can just imagine that plenty of people are screaming that this evidence that the U.S. is involved is trumped up. Sort of like how there are people screaming that the evidence against Iran being involved with is trumped up. This is from a UPI (united press international) story published on Feb 17. The whole article is here.

TEHRAN, Feb. 17 (UPI) — A cache of explosives uncovered in the aftermath of the bombing of an Iranian school is being blamed on “bandits” linked to the United States.

Police told Iran’s FARS news agency that they had recovered 120 pounds of explosives along with unspecified documents establishing a link between U.S. forces and the recent bombings in Zahden.

So now we have the school-yard games of “did not/did too” and one-up-manship. Or, for the conspiracy theorists among us, I suppose we have the heads of multi-national corporations saying “I accuse you of this, then you accuse me of that and pretty soon nobody will be a bit surprised when we start using the really big ones. And then while everything is all chaotic and stuff, we can quietly make more and more money. Bwahahahahaha!”

Which would be funny, in a SNL kind of way, if it didn’t have the all too distinct possibility of ending with the detonation of nuclear weapons, the beginning of another world war and world-wide economic depression.

But you know, probably all that “collateral damage” (read: death and maiming of regular people all over the world) is a small price to pay so that the corporations survive. After all, they look out for us little guys.

    Jeez. Now I’m depressed.

I better go back and read that “inappropriate comment” again to cheer me up.
