Hope it rains tomorrow

Didn’t get nearly enough done today. But got a lot done. The boys got good haircuts, from Stan. We got jeans and shorts, dress socks and soccer shoes. Didn’t find dress shoes for DS2. Forgot a whole bunch of stuff at Target (film, laundry soap, batteries for camera) and didn’t make it to the grocery store.

Got 5 loads of wash done. Need to get the suitcases down so I can start filling them tomorrow afternoon.

That’s what I mean about “I hope it rains.” Today was in the mid-70’s. It was really windy but still so beautiful. My bulbs are starting to bloom (check out flikr for a shot of the first daffodil) and the gardens really need some TLC. But I have to get ready for this trip or I’m going to be seriously in trouble the rest of the week.

Treated myself to a dinner out. Went to a place that had outdoor seating called Italian Cucina. I thought maybe it might be an actual restuarant. Sadly, no. The food was clearly chain food and toooooo salty. I had a mixed plate of cheese and beef raviolis with marinara sauce and a side ceasar. Salt was the overriding taste.

So I’m off to drink a quart of water and do another couple loads of wash before bed. Oh. I should probably put clean sheets on the bed first.

So there’s an exciting divorced Saturday night for you. Maybe I’ll top it off with a little knitting while I watch SNL. On the other hand, I’m getting it done. Paying my bills, taking care of the family and enjoying my own company. So there’s something to be said for that too.

G’night.
