Bright Angel Hike
The hike this morning was terrific! I think everybody feels satisfied at having hiked in the Grand Canyon. We hiked down the trail about 30 minutes before I said I needed to turn around because I wasn’t sure my knees would take much more. Plus, the trail was pretty steep going down and I was worried about being able to get back up. They went on a bit more (about 10 minutes) and then we started back up.
We saw a condor circling over the trail and I got some fairly good pictures with the little digital. I wasn’t sure what it was. DS2 of course, said it was a vulture, which is closer than my guess of eagle. He’s always right on things like that and I should learn to listen to him. Of course, it gives him a fair bit of joy to say "I told you so!" when his ID is confirmed by a park ranger.
I do what I can as a mother to build my children’s self-esteem.
