Possibly the longest middle school band concert in history…
But I’m not really sure.
It was terrific. Really. Ok. It was terrific for a middle school band. It will take a couple of days to get the tone-clusters out of my ears, but really, the teacher is doing a fabulous job.
It did go so long that I missed rehearsal…um. Not too disappointed since I’m still not ready with the effing medley. (cheese and carrots, it’s hard to get enough minutes back-to-back to figure this thing out.)
You may notice that James Brown finally made an appearance here, and I got him onto the right post.
I called GolfPro about the score and he was pleased. But then, I couldn’t contain myself and called McKilt out of excitement, and he was almost as excited by it as I was. Kind of nice, to have someone not only “get it” but give a shit.
I could get used to that, given half a chance.

That’s funny. I just wrote about an overly long choir concert. I think when it comes to junior high and high school performances, less is more.
