empty wednesday

First Wednesday without choir rehearsals. I’m a bit at a loss. But only a bit. I haven’ts started cleaning my house or anything. Nor have I gone to the grocery store (what am I going to have for dinner?)

I’ve been working on resumes and strategies while keeping an eye on the weather (lots of severe weather here, including some reported tornados)

The Tribe of Jonny* is getting together at 7 at Barley John’s.

It’s been weird to be home on this day.

*this congregation divides the itself into twelves service groups that rotate through the year to be volunteers for events and worship services. It’s also how they pray for the whole congregation throughout the year. They name the groups after the 12 tribes of Israel. Hey, it’s biblical. Could have been the names of some disney dwarfs…although that would have been 7 groups…Anyway, there’s this rougue group from the choir who decided they were the 13th (and lost) tribe of Israel: the tribe of Jonny. And they meet to volunteer in the areas of fun and fellowship. Ok. Mostly they get together after choir for a beer. And tonight, even though there’s no choir, we’re getting together for a beer.
