Blue Moon

It must have been a slow news day in the Twin Cities because I saw the “what is a blue moon, anyway?” story at 5, 6 and 10. (common definition is the second full moon in a calendar month. Happens about once every 2.7 years. Apparently really important. Which I knew before they told me. But that’s because I’m a geek.)

I think my migraine is finally gone. I know suspect this because I have regained the will to live and the desire to have a clean house; if not the energy to get up and do anything about it. Also, I may have slept too much this afternoon, because I’m not falling asleep now. Which means that it is very possible that Mr. Migraine will take the opportunity of messed up sleep pattern to stay for another day. We’ll just have to wait and see.

So, a little praying to pass the time. Lots of prayers for healing are needed these days.

  • My brother is still in the hospital. Didn’t hear any updates, so I suspect that they’re keeping him until they have the clots dissolved.
  • The stage manager for As You Like It was hit on his bicycle today and is in a coma. We got an email from the director saying that it looks hopeful but he’s scheduled for surgery.
  • Sophia is going back in for an second surgery to make sure all the pre-cancerous tissue was removed.
  • And me, for this headache to be gone.

Tomorrow I get to talk with RS, have a pedicure and take Libby the Adventure Poodle to the groomer. I also plan to make an appearance at church to proof the bulletin and at LN’s to track down those SMEs and make appointments for next week.

It’s been weird to be home alone on a Wednesday evening. The boys are with their dad on Wednesdays and I’m usually at choir. YM is gone and it was just me and Libby for the whole afternoon/evening. And the main thing I’ve learned is: Wednesday night TV kinda sucks. Next week is no worry because it’s tech week (we open on the 9th) but after that I have got to find me something to do on Wednesdays. Maybe it should be my gardening night. Or if it rains, clean the house. What a concept…

Good luck with everything. I started getting a migraine today, but luckily I took my migraine meds and they worked in two hours.
