My brother does NOT have cancer. Yipee! Blood clots are dissolved (mostly) and the thing they biopsied turns out was an infection (yuk!) So they sent him home with blood thinners, antibiotics, and instructions for eating correctly with Type2 Diabetes and how to quit smoking pills/patches/something. No word on the drinking part.  But that is all GOOD news.

Also, rehearsal went reasonably well. Except for the part where the director cut the second “stanzos” (joke from the show) of “Blow, Winter Wind” but is still KEEPING the Moulin-Rouge-esque medley that the cast wants to mutiny over.  And then asked if I could “play the Rocky Theme while Orlando is getting ready for the wrestling match?” Let’s review: I am still building my own costume, I don’t really have all my lines memorized, but you want to add a song 4 days before opening. Sure. Why not. Um, acutally? No. How about if we hum it on kazoos?

Other than that, it went really well.

The boys are hitting the wall, what with too much baseball and the last week push of homework and finals. They actually both went to bed before 10 tonight, so I know they’re beat. They’ve got at least one more guess coming if they think they’re getting out of one of the last 6 school days. Not. Happening. The Meanest Mom In The World has spoken.  Polish up your Alice Cooper iTunes boys; you can crank it next Tuesday afternoon. Until then, you are committed and encumbered and required to show up.

No staff meeting tomorrow at church, so it looks like a LN project day. Whoo hoo! At least they’re paying me by the hour. Now, to bed myself.

A year ago on This Journey, I was rediscovering the strangest thing, not sure it was time yet, and coming to the realization that most of the friends from my marriage just didn’t get it.
