Summer Solstice

What a lovely evening. The rough weather went south of the cities today. Good thing since I went to the NW suburb to meet yet another match.com for a beer.

I dunno.

Not a great story like last week. But I don’t know if I see us becoming great friends or more. Nothing offensive, but a long distance (40+ miles between homes), limited time (between 2 visitiation schedules) and activities that don’t overlap too much (he’s not a musician, I’m not an ice skater.) Not a big spark yet. But if he steps up, I think it was an interesting enough conversation to try another and see.

But, unlike The Professor, I won’t let it drag on for weeks before making a decision. Or communicating a decision. So, I’m learning, I guess.

Still, I’m thinking the painting of the dining room starts July 2.

A year ago on This Journey, I was dealing with frustrating leadership at work, I learned that DS2’s first parade was on cable, and the weather was great. Again!

I did online dating for awhile too. If nothing else it helps you get practical about what you want out of a partner and a relationship. I think the experience helped forge the relationship I now have with my husband. (Ironically we met in a bar and I never spend much time in bars because I wasn’t going to get shacked up with another abusive alcoholic again, but that night, was truly a chance encounter of two typically “non-Bar” people.)

Good Luck I hope you will find “the one” soon. You just never know, it could happen at any moment.
