dependent or addicted?
I’m having computer troubles. Seems the DC power port isn’t behaving properly. Or it could be the power supply or the battery. In any case it means that sometimes I just don’t have a computer.
Right now, I’ve got access to my computer, it’s hard drive and all it’s glorious applications, but I have no access to the internet. Can’t get mail, can’t approve comments, can’t read your blogs. Nuttin’
This is only slightly less frustrating that having no access to it at all.
Although, I am a aware of a certain level of panic when the whole thing was down and I realized just how much of my life I have on this little silver box.
My calendar. Nope, not on a palm. On my computer. My work, both jobs. My pictures, my music, my compositions, my arrangements, my email (which includes my flirting and whatnot.)
For about 3 hours this morning I was trying to figure out how I was going to "work around" not having access to any of that for several days. I have to admit, I felt a little panicky.
I’m glad I can get at the hard drive for now. I’m not unplugging and moving around as much as I’d like, but when things are so precarious, you do what you have to do.
And right now, the first order of business (besides writing this post in Qumana) is to begin the backup process.
Lord have mercy.

Well, hope the problems have subsided or been fixed. I hate it when something happens to the computer. I am extremely illiterate when it comes down to technical stuff. Hope your back online soon.
