rolling thunder

It hasn’t rained on a weekend here in over 6 weeks. I know because none of our Shakespeare in the Park shows were rained out. Today, on Sunday afternoon, it finally rained. The thunder started a good 15-20 minutes for the rain. Constant low rumbling like the sound of a jet in the distance. As the rain started there were some good tumblers that rattled the windows. It rained steadily for about 30 minutes. Maybe an inch of rain here in the city. And the thunder stayed steady throughout and I was worried that if it turned into an honest-to-goodness thunder-crasher with cloud to ground strikes my poor little computer would be in for it.

But no power surges or outages. At least at Chez Journey. So far. As I look out the western windows it looks like another round of darkness and delicious rain is coming our way.

On the other hand, my router is prohibiting me from actually visiting blogspot sites.

I’m going to go watch from the upstairs window. Care to join me?
