Under promise. Over deliver.
Hooray! I just got a call from the Apple Store. All the parts for my repair are in (most importantly the DC port which has been “constrained” for about a month.) The DC port part was estimated to arrive next FRIDAY.
I have an appointment with a genius at 8:30 p.m. when I will be leaving my little lovely silver box in their capable hands to repair all under warranty. Huzzah!
BUT. I don’t know how long it will take, so you may not hear anything from me for up to a couple of days. I know. It will be hard. But don’t worry. I’ll be back.

I’m shipping my MBP back to Apple, ’cause it’s optical audio light is stuck. But I can’t be computer-free. Literally. I can’t. I have too many Macs to even FIND them all.
