T-6.5

Wow. Today’s half over and I’m just not sure it’s all going to get done.

I had another trip in to my Apple store. This time to figure out why my iPod was crashing my computer and not syncing. Turns out my second generation 2002 10MG iPod has died. Long live my new 30MG iPod (with Video! and Games!) The boys are going to be green when I get home. And that little purchase is my present for getting a new job.

Pulling hard today to get worship plans finished for the next three weeks. At this point, it’s doubtful I’ll spend any time on LN’s project work (see, this is why I didn’t start that new job this week.)

In a little while I head over to the ISAIAH office to have a communications strategy meeting and then home to pick up DS2 to head to DS1’s double header.

DS2’s team won the tournament this last weekend. I’m so happy for him. I have to say, I don’t usually say anything but sometimes it seems it would get old for my boys to be on teams that don’t do so well. I don’t want them to have to experience the pressure of a full-go little league (he’s playing park board ball) but it’s nice to win a few. And that they go a trophy out of it is nice too.

DS1 is happier than I am to see his season end tonight. They have really been struggling and according to him a lot of it has to do with the crappy attitudes of some of his teammates. I’m proud of him recognizing the entitlement and poor sportsmanship he’s witnessing. But again, it would be nice if they could win a game now and then.

We’ll get done with baseball around 8 or 9 tonight. Too late to really get any packing done with them since I can’t stay up too late tonight. I have a court date in the morning.

A year ago on This Journey I was learning just how dysfunctional my workplace was.
