lazy vacation day
No hikes today. The boys were beat yesterday and didn’t want to. I didn’t argue. I got on a loom, the big Gjesta floor loom. DS2 picked out some colors he wanted and I’m making him a rug. It’s going fast and it’s fun to work on a big loom again. Many new people on looms this afternoon and I had to leave because all their whiny questions were too much for my headache. Did I mention I woke with a headache? Almost migraine like but I think it is/was actually altitude related.
Finally kicked it this afternoon after a nap.
The boys are officially bored. DS1 won’t do anything DS2 suggests without an argument. The unspoken complaint is that their friends DL and SL aren’t here. Of course 3 or 5 or more years ago, while that would have been sad, it would not have stopped them from finding new friends among all the kids here or making their own fun.
I guess they (the boys) have changed too. It’s no longer enough to spend hours and hours down by Railroad creek building piles of rocks and throwing rocks and sticks into the creek.
