to vacation on one’s own
I may or may not have mentioned that while I’ve taken plenty of business trips alone, I’ve never vacationed alone before.
Turns out, I’m rather enjoying it.
Another collection of random recollections for y’all. As you may notice, I finally have really returned to ‘civilization’ because I have internet access.
*****************
Just got a call from Sr. V from Winnipeg checking to see if I was OK because of the 35W bridge collapse over the Mississippi river.
Took my blogging time to call my mom and see if she and my sister are OK. They are. Looks like quite the disaster that will wreak havoc on the Twin Cities for years (at least until they get the bridge rebuilt….)
More later after I come back from my sunset sailboat cruise on Puget Sound (See. Single travel means you can afford to do that sort of stuff!)

A year ago on This Journey I was ranting about an Energy crisis and tired of keeping others’ secrets . Also my then contract job had a bit of a technical problem and it was National Night Out.

I should go somewhere alone. My kids go with their dad for a week on the 20th. I usually have my alone vacation in my house, which is really nice being alone in. But still, a sailboat sounds nice.

I can’t imagine vacationing without my girls. I’m sure I could get used to it.

Sounds like you are having a blast. I wish I had the nerve to vacation alone.
