The power of words
The nursery rhyme is wrong of course. Words can hurt. But they can also heal. They can build or destroy relationships.
I’m most aware these days of the power of words to create desire. Not intellectual constructs of “gee it would be nice to have …..”
No. I mean words used to enflame basic physiological reactions. Crude language is not needed. The expression of ideas, wants, imaginings are powerful in the way they can elicit the most basic biological responses our bodies have.
It is intoxicating. It is exciting (and not just emotionally.) And, it’s fun.
Oh. One other note: Mr. Hockey is pretty good at it.

Damn! You’re lucky, I know exactly what you mean. Words can be a very powerful aphrodisiac.
