what a day

ok. All of you know it’s never such a great idea to post buzzed…or worse. And yet, here I am.

Council meeting at which I proposed social justice internship:

seems to have gone well. No voice mail yet, but I’m sure I’ll hear something by tomorrow. one way or the other

Box seats to the Twins/Mariners Game:

Awesome fun, even if the bums did lose. LN and JW are great. And meeting all the vendor hosts was a blast. And the food was great (corporate box…duh.)

Mr. Hockey:

and I are seeing each other TWICE this week. Tomorrow and Thursday. Tomorrow at his house (he’s cooking…again!) and we’re watching old movies. Ok. Honestly? Probably listening to an old movie. And Thursday he’s driving into the big bad inner city so we can go to the Guthrie….to see a musical. OMG!

Boys:

DS1 went to the Saints game where he came home with a Michael Vick Dog Toy. Not kidding. Shaped like a pig (the mascot of the Saints…) Complete with a squeeky and a tag showing a dog chasing after Vick in Vikings attire. They are SO sick. Funny, but sick.

DS2’s soccer practice went fine apparently. But let’s please note that asking for a written schedule of when the eff he’s supposed to be at soccer is “unrealistic” and that the 13 year old “knew it was at 6:30 not 6:00.” Except…he said 6:00. Whatever. I’m sick to death of trying to get X to change his eye color and realize he’s the adult and he should communicate directly with me and not through the kids.

So, I’m going to call the damn park myself and ask for a schedule. f****r.

Golf:

tomorrow at 7:00a.m. at Gross. Thank God I don’t have to cross the river to get there.

Ok. time for bed. Or at least my bedtime phone call with Mr. Hockey. Good grief, I think I’m starting to count on a pattern. Please don’t tell me “I told you so” when it all comes crashing down around my head.

Have I mentioned lately that Life is Good?

Why are we always trying so hard not to get our hopes up? Oh yeah, because we’ve been through it before. He still sounds like a keeper to me.

    I agree with Churlita.
