September dinner at Chez Journey

It was a full day. What with singing with the choir at the early service, then racing home to finish preparations. Having another come to jebus meeting with the boys about pitching in. Working hard with them for an hour and getting it all done (SEE! I told you I wasn’t asking for too much!!) RACING back to the seminary for rehearsal and then sitting around waiting until the program started. At least during the sitting around portion I got to chew the fat with KR and SB. Gotta get that girlfriend time in when I can!  Plus there was free food for the reception.

The singing at the program went OK. The songs were 2nd or 3rd rate but what the heck. The speakers were boring but what the heck. I got to sing with friends.

The raced home to find that the boys really had finished things off. We set the table and waiting.

It was a pretty big group tonight. AH never made it because of her confirmation kick-off. But SM was there, ZH, HJ & her boyfriend J, SH and his partner B. With the boys we were 10 for dinner. People brought great appetizers. We almost didn’t need the main course! But we cooked those pork chops anyway. That and baked potatoes. and SM’s luscious dessert. Great conversation and hanging out. It was a good thing.

And now, I think I’ll give Mr. Hockey a phone call before I hit the hay early. Gotta be at the hospital for my mom’s surgery bright and early tomorrow morning.

Good job on getting your boys to come through for you.

I hope your mom’s surgery goes well also.

Wow! What an eventful Sunday you had. I’m tired just reading all you did.
