son of a b

The install went fine. I know I copied all my ’stuff’ over to the external hard drive. Now, when I’m trying to restore my mail boxes I can’t find the Library. This means every single email I had filed from Mr. Hockey is gone. They were all saved on my laptop in a folder. I know I copied over the Library that had the folder. Now it’s not there.All.Gone. All 5 months worth. Also, my calendar file. And even though I used back-up on that puppy I can’t find it on my iDisk.I might be sick.

OH NO! I just bought an external hardrive (Seagate) where I can plug in and drag everything easily over. Everything. It cost me $98. Well worth it!

Yeah. See. I have an external drive too. Dragged everything over there. And it looked like it copied. But the Library folder didn’t. And that’s where all the mail lists, the internet bookmarks, the calendar file and all kinds of other preferences are kept.

On the other hand, I had synced some of it up to my .mac account. Like my calendar, which I have since found out I can’t bring down to my new calendar in the new OS.

And apparently the same thing with the address book. It’s up there. On line. Some of it’s even accessible, like the address book. Other stuff will just need to be recreated.

And other stuff, like the emails saved regarding the assembly I’m planning worship for, all saved dating emails, (plus admittedly a lot of crap) is gone.

And there are a couple of applications that I downloaded that I can’t find the backup disks for…like photoshop.

    such and idiot.
