Two weeks to go

Two weeks from today, the boys will be home from school and I will be working from home (as I am today) and hopefully we’ll be making some cookies and starting the decorating of the house for Advent. (I still don’t want to put the tree up until about the weekend before Christmas because I like to leave it up until Jan 6.)

Two weeks from yesterday I’ll have 10 or so for Thanksgiving dinner and maybe another 6 or so for pie.

Between now and then I have to:

  • clean the house top to bottom…or at least the middle two floors
  • order a turkey
  • plan the rest of the menu
  • make ahead what I can
  • coordinate with everyone else what to bring (so I have to make less stuff)

I’m giving up on:

  • getting the kitchen cupboard doors back on
  • finishing the painting of the kitchen or the dining room

This is in addition to:

  • Work
  • Wed night choir
  • 5 more La Boheme shows
  • NE Accordion Festival (which I’m helping organize this weekend…and playing)
  • Seeing Mr. Hockey
  • Having migraines (today)

I guess maybe I’ll sleep in December?

Weird. I went home from work because my migraine was so bad, I thought I’d throw up and pass-out all at the same time. Sorry for you too.
