Taking the easy way out

I have nothing today. It’s one of those delicious holiday weekends where by some strange twist of the schedule faeries I actually get a holiday. And when I really need a holiday and really go on one, the inner dialog takes a break, too. And that inner dialog? That’s usually what I serve up around here.

I should be up to my knees in Mt. Washmore today, but I’m not. I spent a couple of hours this morning working on Mr. Hockey’s birthday socks. I’ll see him (finally!!!!) on Thursday and want them ready before then. (Socks plus tickets to the Guthrie’s “A Christmas Carol” for Saturday night.) But no laundry. Which doesn’t mean I won’t be regretting the decision to be lazy tomorrow morning when I’m standing in front of my closet trying to figure out what goes with a fleece corporate-wear vest and leggings. Yeah. Maybe just one load this afternoon.

I’ve been tagged twice for two different memes this week. Boy! You sure can tell that NaBloPoMo is grinding to an end!

Sugared Harpy tagged me with the 7 weird things meme. Which is sort of just like the 7 random things meme which I answered with 8 weird things last July.

Abbagirl tagged me with the middle-name anagram meme. She didn’t use her middle name, and mine is really short too, so I’ll use “faint.”

F - Faithful. To my friends and family (sometimes past the point of being unhealthy.) And I’ve been blessed with a strong spiritual faith as well. One that is central to my life and that I try to let guide me in all things.

A - Affectionate. I am open with showing my affection to those I love.

I - Intelligent. Sometimes too smart for my own good.

N - Not fainthearted. heh.

T - Tenacious. It helps to be not fainthearted if you’re going to be tenacious and not give up.

Tag yourself if you’re stumped.

Faint would be an interesting middle name.

Whoo hoo! Give up for tenacious, that was on middle name meme too. I used my pseudoynms middle name: Centauri.

I’d love to see a pic of business fleece and leggings! What exactly is “business fleece” anyways? I never leave the house without one of my gazillion fleece hoodies. :>
