Light

The Saturday Scavenger photo word is “light.” Word chosen by Laura B.  (note: I put as many of the players into the blogroll on the right. in their own category to make checking them out easy.)

I’m glad this is my first Saturday scavenger because at this time of year “light” is top of mind for me.

This is the shot that first came to mind when I learned the theme for today. It was taken by DS1 from pool-side at Spirit in the Desert retreat center in Phoenix, AZ last April.

Same light source but up here in the frozen northland during the winter, the light from the sun looks a lot different.

And this is the local Griswald place.

I thought of this shot after reading Rich’s post about his holiday decorating crusade. This place is down the street a bit. They’ve been decorating like this for the last ten years or so. I think they contract for NSP to turn on an extra substation, just for them.

I love your photos, and I’m so glad you’re playing.

I miss Arizona terribly in the Winter.

How can people afford to do that with all those lights?

Welcome to the Saturday Scavenger Hunt party and thanks for stopping into the “crapper”. I like the light photos, especially the third one. I like the cityscapes. Stop on in anytime over at my place.

Wow, great choices for the word! Arizona has plenty of light, that’s for sure. And that last photo is a riot.

Those are beautiful! I love the rosy glow of your ‘frozen northland’ shots :-) The word for next week, courtesy of AlienCG, is CARD.
