2007 Christmahanukwanzaakah

The concert CD has arrived at Chez Journey. Click here to hear the “good” version.

My friend Neil has done it again! This year he added an Arts and Crafts Fair to the inter-faith holiday celebration.

Today begins the 2007 Christmahanukwanzaakah concert. Complete with beautiful photos of holiday decorated houses and many many videos of performances this year. It’s quite the extravaganza! (But really, who didn’t think it would be?)

Go ahead! Live on the wild side and open TWO browser windows (or if you’re cool, two tabs) and listen to some GREAT renditions of holiday music while you browse through the beautiful hand-made art.

And don’t forget, if you’d rather give to a cause in the name of a loved one, here’s a link to my Heifer International Holiday Experiment. Throw a couple of bucks towards a pig or a clutch of chicks to help a subsistence family somewhere (Heifer International operates in the USA and all over the world).

Oh, and here’s my contribution to the concert.

The first version is recorded at home in the kitchen. (The second is from the benefit concert I played in on Saturday night. It’s with my friends Three Men and a Banjo. Except in this song, the banjo player is playing a violin. Whatever.)<- waiting for the CD from the guy who recorded the concert.

Edit: I’ve been waiting for weeks for this day. And I foolishly relied on other people to get a recording of my song. So far, I have no idea when the concert recording will be available to me. What I’ve included here is short. If I have time tonight I’ll do up something a little nicer. Sorry Neil!

Until the CD of Coventry Carol comes along, here’s another tune made in my own little den. A Polish Lullaby.

NFH, I was so excited when I found your link to Heifer International. I gave somebody bees!!! Could I put a link to your holiday experiment on my page?

I listened to your two offerings, very nice…I wish I could have some musical talent, but my talents lie elsewhere.
