I’ve got a plan

I’m feeling like ICK so I’m working from home today. I’m going to work s-l-o-w-l-y this morning. I’m going to drag myself out of the house into the frigid weather to have lunch with my dear friend KA. She’s almost done with her internship and already has her name out there for first call. She’s very excited because they want to go to Africa. We started candidacy together and I’m only a little frustrated that she’s going to be ready for first call in May and I’m going to be barely 4 months into a 2 year internship. Everyone’s path is different, I guess.

Anyway, in the afternoon I’m going to come home and clean my kitchen and get ready to make mountains of Christmas treats. Most of the food blogs I’ve been reading have such delicious looking recipes that I just can’t resist anymore. I’ll use them for presents so it’s all good.

Oh! and speaking of food blogs!!!! I have a surprise I’m getting ready for the weekend…maybe Sunday, since tomorrow is Saturday Photo Scavenger. I’m so excited about it!!

This weekend will also include wrapping all the presents that are in the house so far. And that means I should be in good shape for next week. Which is good because next week is toast. Tuesday night is the church staff party. Wednesday night is the choir party. Thursday night is either my bosses party, or I’ll be doubling up on Tuesday with that.

But right now, I’m going to curl up with a hot water bottle and write some Terminal Objectives (which is not as violent as it sounds, really.)

sound like you’re a party animal! I can’t wait to start my Christmas baking. The only problem is that I eat it.

I hope you don’t have the “ick” that I’ve been experiencing. Mine isn’t like the flu or anything, but it has made the week go by slower. My ears are still blocked, but at least my voice is back. Anyway, enough about me. Get better soon! Enjoy making Christmas treats!

Except for the ick. It all sounds wonderful. Have a great weekend.

I do hope you post some pictures of these delicious treats you speak of. Have you sent me your address already? If not, would you? If not, that’s cool to.

Yes, I am in concensus with seeing pictures of the treats. At least if I drool on the computer monitor it won’t cost me any weight watchers points!

The old case of the crud or the lingering ick….I hate when sick screws up a perfectly useful weekend. Why can’t it hit in the mid-week so I can justify staying home.

Feel better soon. And it is great of you to give out food presents. I am not inclined to cook or bake all that much, but I love to eat!
