Card

The word for today’s photo scavenger was Card. I had all sorts of crazy ideas, but sort of ran out of time.  So, here’s a down & dirty Card collection.

Of course, this time of year, Card brings to mind greeting cards. I haven’t gotten many this year (could be because I stopped sending holiday cards sometime back in the early 90’s) but I got this one today from a woman who was in my first bell choir that I directed. Actually, she called me last week looking for X’s address and phone number so she could send him one and I sort of shamed her into sending me one I think. Oh well.

This time of year greeting cards aren’t the only ones that get taken out and used. There’s also recipe cards. These are three I’ve written out for my sister. They’re family recipes for Christmas treats. Krumkaka, Sandbakkelse and Peanut Brittle. (Yes, I got the peanut brittle made today. You know, it’s easy but it takes a LONG time.)

And finally, this time of year “Card” also brings to mind Gift Cards. So here’s a picture of one of the boys’ iTunes cards. Actually this is one from a birthday that’s been kicking around the kitchen for a few weeks. They haven’t activated it yet. If it doesn’t go pretty soon, then I think Mama gets some new tunes, don’t you think?

OK. So there you go. “Card”

Be sure and check the links on the right under Saturday Photo Scavenger to see what actually creative people came up with.

Now I’ve got to get back to the cooking.

Another great bunch of takes on the word. The I Tunes card was a great idea. I am liking the new players. Thanks for participating.

Love the take on recipe cards and gift card.

    Enjoy all that cooking!

PS - I used to send over 100 cards each year. For the last six or so, zero. I think you and I receive about the same numbers, but I am not willing to make the investment to get more!

Great idea to take a photo of the recipe cards and the gift card! My manager gave me a gift card for the movies the other day, I could’ve taken a photo of that! Great shots!

I meant to comment here sooner, but my brain is a sieve these days :-) Excellent card pix. I especially like the recipe cards.
