Last Minute Stocking Stuffers

It’s Wednesday and I’m skipping the choir party to see Mr. Hockey tonight. I’m not ashamed to admit that there’s a little lilt in my step today because of it.

I am basically done (except for groceries) with whatever sort of commercialism I’m participating in this year. Which, to my chagrin, is far more than I have in the recent past.

Don’t forget about Heifer International and my big blogosphere experiment with the registry and all.

Click on the button on the right over there and buy some ducks or bees or part of a water buffalo. You can print a gift card to give to the person letting them know how this gift 1) Helps families around the world and 2) keeps giving because as recipient’s they are asked to pass on some of the offspring to their neighbors.

Sort of like that old old old commercial… “And they tell two friends, and so on, and so on…”

Anyway, even though I’m caving into convention (this year!) with the extended family, I’m planting a seed for next year by also buying some geese and ducks in their honor.

If nothing else it will be a conversation topic different from “Where’s X again?” or “Why aren’t you going to be here on the 29th?”

It sounds like skipping the choir party to spend time with Mr Hockey is the right thing to do :-)
And I’m with you on the whole idea of having a very Heifer Christmas…maybe someday.

anyone buys me any bees and well…..(I fear them)

Hanging out with Mr Hockey in lieu of the choir party, hmmm. Hopefully he sees this as a very nice gesture and appreciates it.
