Saturday Photo Scanvenger: “New”

Yeah. I know it’s not Saturday. It’s been that kind of a week.

Anyway, here’s my selection for this week’s word: New

newsmoker.jpg

And appparently, what’s also new, is that Wordpress insists on making this a landscape oriented shot. I’ve fussed with it a couple of times now. Just tip your head, OK?

ANYWAY….yes, DS2 and I got it assembled. We were going to smoke a couple of racks of ribs yesterday but instead we went to MOA, got Legos and visited my Grandma for her birthday. So there wasn’t enough time. So I got up this morning at 6 and lit the charcoal in the dark and put the ribs on to smoke around 7, before I went to church. They were delicious.

And speaking of Grandma, here she is getting the (new to her) throw I knit her for Christmas. She does love it.

And finally, a shot of Libby the Wonder Poodle, wistfully gazing out the window on Christmas Eve. I suppose she’s wondering how she could escape those three little yippers. Or maybe she’s just vegging out.

Be sure and check out the photo scavenger links on the right. I’m sure they’ll have some awesome depictions of “New.”

And now, to veg out on the couch and try to forget everything that I have to do tomorrow. Peace.

I like the take on the word….

Your grandmother looks very similar to my grandmother…

I am back on the circuit again…I needed a couple of weeks off to chill a bit.

I would love to get a smoker. I would love to try those homemade ribs. Happy New Year and thanks for stopping over.

Aww, I love it when pets stare out the window like that. Wordpress has been a chore to work with lately.

I love your photos and am jealous of your smoker.

Totally jealous of the ribs and the fact that I have never been to MOA, but have always wanted to go. Perhaps one day we will make a special trip up there. Wouldn’t that be nice!
