Primarily
So now Clinton and Obama are essentially tied and Edwards is a little further behind than he would like.
What bugs me most about the local pundits is that she broke above Obama because she “showed some emotion.”
So now, as strong women, we’re damned if we show emotions (“you’d want someone on PMS to have her finger on the button?”) and we’re damned if we don’t (“she’s so cold.”)
I know I’m not the first to point this out. Nor is it the first time I’ve noticed it. I’m just fed up with it.
As for the Republican side, I’m glad the New Hampshire Republicans liked McCain best. Not from any weasely stance, but because if someone held a gun to my head and made me vote for one of the Republican candidates, McCain is the only one I could possibly stomach.
There’s a long way to go on this interminable campaign trail.
And in the meantime there’s a lot of work that’s getting ignored. Like impeachment and like bringing charges against people who destroy evidence (CIA destruction of torture tapes). Which nobody is going to do unless we hold their feet to the fire. Click the links on the right if you don’t know who to email.

I was born into a very traditional Republican family. Very traditional. But now that I am my own person, and an adult who doesn’t need to rely on living under her parents’ roof, I am now able to make my own decisions. This time around, I am truly stumped. I am waiting for someone to make a bold move and go after this thing. Every one seems so cautious. This is just my opinion of course. I hope it’s okay if I voice it.

I am still undecided. I am walfling between Obama and Clinton. I like both of their messages , just trying to decide who would be best for this country.

abbagirl- OF COURSE it’s OK that you voice your opinion!!!
I too would like to see some inspired leadership. Of course, as soon as someone does that this early they’ll be chewed apart by pirhanas.
Diva - when it comes down to it, I think we can elect whom we think is best but still need to watch them in office and hold them accountable. Like this congress. they were elected to change things and now they sit on their hands.

Yeah, and the lost emails from the WH hard drives. And a war being fought with senior citizens and other people way the hell out of the military.
I agree with all that you said. Edwards with the pregnant girlfriend stuff bothers me.

It’s tricky. Obama really came on strong and gave amazing speeches in Iowa before the caucuses. Edwards wasn’t quite as eloquent.

I have listened to every single one of these people (except Dennis the Menace) *a couple of times and still have not heard anything concrete. Campaign speeches are useless cheer leading, the debates have turned into “good TV” with lots of one liners and jabs, and as far as emotion goes…I hope that none of them has an over emotional side. The way to get things done is by thinking straight, not by being emotional..cold is good in this case.
*Dennis used to be the mayor of this shit hole named Cleveland. He started us down the illustrious path to failure.
I am also a resident and unfortunate constituent of OH Congressional district 10..Dennis’ turf.
