The unbelievable sweetness of life

Today’s Photo Scavenger word is “Sweet.” Chosen by me :D

Edit: I almost forgot! I need to tag the next person to choose a word. Cricket, how about you?

I don’t know what I was thinking when I chose the word, but the week has provided ample opportunity to reflect on the sweetness of my life. To show all of it would take too long and be a bit boring. But here are some examples. Please be sure and check out my fellow scavenger hunter’s interpretation of the word.

First, there’s the sweetness of baked treats. These are sandbakkles and krummkake from this past Christmas.

and of course, there’s the real sweetness of peanut brittle.

BUT! Before we all need to take a hit of insulin, my life is filled with sweetness that is more ethereal, too.

The sweetness of my garden in bloom, for instance (wouldn’t it be sweet if spring were closer?)

Mock orange blossoms. One of the sweetest smelling shrubs.

and the lilacs…

My sweetie, Mr. Sweet Britches Hockey,

And the sweetest ones in my life, DS1, DS2 and Libby the Wonder Poodle:

And of course, there’s nothing at all in the world sweeter to the mom of two teenage boys than a clean bathroom. But maybe that’s just me.

I like the last one the best…clean bathrooms are a sweet thing indeed. Good job on all the takes. Fun choosing, isn’t it?

Mmm…the sweet, sweet smell of flowers. A hint that Spring will be here in a few more months. Yay!
