Thursday after Wednesday

I’m beat. I suspect I’ll be too tired to post anything good later, but who knows. There’s still that caucus story (which is getting a little stale, somehow)

Here’s an email I sent to a friend this morning that sums up yesterday:

Whew! Maybe I’m giving up sleep for Lent! LOL!

Yesterday was a long day. Leading the two worship services for families and kids was amazingly fun….and high energy. Then there was the “regular” service too. I was surprised about how moving it was to put ashes on people and saying “Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return.” And then turn right around and offer them forgiveness through the “…body of Christ given for you.” It was quite a night.

Then choir and my friend SH was filling in as organist while AB is recovering from her surgery. So we went out for a quick beer and a catch up afterwards. I didn’t get home until 10:30, which is pretty usual for Wednesday but it felt a little like 2AM. I chalk it up to being out of shape for kids choirs!!

The boy’s have orthodontia appointments this morning, then I take them to school and off to work where I’ll be in meetings until well after 2:00. I think I’m going to come home and probably go right to bed!!! I’m glad there’s some leftovers in the freezer, because otherwise I’d probably go to bed without any dinner!

Hey girl. Sorry I have not been by. Hope all is well. I’ve been sick for 2 days and super busy. I’ll catch up with you later. I want to talk about your trip to Omaha.
