What a trooper

I’ve been fighting off this nausea thing for a couple of days now. Achy, tired beyond usual and wishing I could just throw up. Don’t think I’ve been running a fever but who knows. I haven’t had a working thermometer in this house since the DS2 was in 3rd grade…so 5 years now.

I know there’s a nasty stomach virus going around. Not sure if that’s what this is or something else. I slept most of Tuesday. Wednesday I was up a little bit and went church for a couple of hours to lead the two choir-school Lenten worships. SB and I joked that I was just giving back the germs to the place I probably got them.

Came home and crashed on the couch for the whole evening. Oh, note to self: there is nothing good on broadcast TV on Wednesday nights. Listened to the opera instead. I think it was Mozart’s first, written when he was about 15.

I have to go into the office today to be at a new products meeting for JE, who left for a weekend in Vegas. then I think I’m coming back home and going back to bed.

On the other hand, maybe I’ll see if I can phone into the meeting.

Update: dragged my sorry butt into the office. Given the industry there are plenty of people to consult with about it and the consensus is that it was probably food poisoning and not the gastrointestinal virus that’s going around. Primarily because of the shorter duration, the lack of spiked fever and the fact that I could drive in today.

I felt super hooey last night and thought it was the flu so I got a glass of OJ to wash down 2 extra strength Tylenol and followed that up with a bowl of chicken soup with noodle stars.
Today? I feel like a million bucks. Give it a try.
    FEEL BETTER!

What a trooper, indeed! Just the break you needed.

Just a thought…could tis feeling have stemmed from the recent break-up? I had a similar feeling once that was related to relation-termination.

As I said, just a thought?

No matter what it was, it had to suck. I’m sorry that you had to experience it.
