Water work

marchwaterholes.jpg

Last Friday.

Manhole maintenance takes place year-round…even in Minneapolis.

This hole was only slightly larger than the one the plumber needed to make in the dining room wall in order to access the shower faucet plumbing.

But now we have a new faucet that meets code and will prevent all the shower-ers from being scalded. And a new shower head that actually can be aimed away from the shower door and away from my face.

And the pipes that provide water to those faucets and that shower head don’t leak into the basement creating a small wetland.

All for the low low price of $606.

I guess this is why I have a corporate job and can’t just do the work that feeds and energizes me. Because that work? It doesn’t pay.

Also found out that I’ve improved my credit rating since the separation and subsequent divorce by over 100 points. Refinancing (and finally removing X’s name from the title) will happen this month.

Today was the kind of Monday where it’s so bad, you’re pretty sure it ought to count for two days. It won’t of course, but it should.

Those are some heavy duty excavations and bill. I need plumbing done, but I am so so scared.

Congrats on the credit. That is quite a feat. I need to look into mine and getting the probable crap cleared.

Never thought of a day counting twice. I think I’d pick a good one if I could do it.

PS - have you sent in blog ideas? I’ve gone crazy and sent in about 35 links to headers and templates I like. Overkill, I know, but it was fun seeing what’s out there.

Wow. I’m sorry to hear about the plumbing costs. As I’ve found out today, it’s always something.
