Xtreme Slumber Party Behavior

Note: This is back-dated. As such I summarized the 27th and will date it for the 27th, even though the events described extended well into the 28th. What fun. What craziness. What fatigue!

The Anniversary celebration went long tonight.

It was great to hear all the stories, but when you celebrate the lives and careers of 16 women, it is going to take some time. More than two hours, yo.

In point of fact, the banquet started at 6:00 and we did not finish until almost 10 pm.

And then of course, we had to have our previously scheduled Holden Evening Prayer. Because we can’t ever not do something.

It was a long night.

After we finally got up to the room, KS came by for one of the beers we’d gone to town for. She stayed and we talked up a storm. She finally wandered back to her room around 1:30. KA and SW and I continued to talk until almost 3:00 a.m.

I think I can sum up the weekend by this: Grueling and painful business meetings punctuated by extreme slumber-party behavior.

Sounds about right.
